Evangelicals Videos Up

I have posted Evangelicals Squatter Performances on Squatbox.net.
http://www.squatbox.net/no6evangelicals.html

Josh Jones, front man of Evangelicals, some friends and I were walking through the alley and across the parking lot behind The Bishop in Bloomington, Indiana. Bloomington, like most college towns, has a fully developed independent music scene, with a myriad of bands popping up every other semester, having met in Bio class or dorm hall. But, Bloomington has taken it one step further and has industrialized. With labels like Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguwar and Dead Oceans, Bloomington becomes another important stop on any independent band’s tour.............

New Lionlimb Blog

Lionlimb pulled into the gravel parking lot at the O.K. Storage building in an identical car to my own. Well, identical except the color, the make and the model of the car. Okay, they were both jeep type cars. Stewart Bronaugh and Joshua Jaeger live in Chicago, where they first met at DePaul University. But, both are from just southeast of the Midwest, Nashville, TN (Stewart) and Louisville, KY (Joshua). And, luckily for us, Lionlimb was on a summer jaunt through their hometowns and surrounding areas, playing shows and making fans, which brought them our way.

Prussia No. 1

I was set to to meet the boys of PRUSSIA in their hometown, Detroit. Ryan Spencer, the voice behind PRUSSIA, booked my band in a prominent DIY venue, the TrumblePlex. We ended up grabbing some pre-show fast food, and initiating (but not participating in) an increasingly intense argument as to whether one could make a valid living as a musician or not. The musician's case was being advocated by Detroit's own, but much shorter Isaac Hayes look-a-like.
Ryan's younger brother and PRUSSIA drummer, Drew Spencer, and PRUSSIA bassist, Andrew Rendenok (introduced as ANDROID) met up at the TrumblePlex.
A month and a half later, I met the rest of the group, Ryan, Kasey Press (the techy genius who played keys and guitar) and Jake Brusokas (the second stand up drummer, as well as carrier of heavy things). They piled out of a early 90's navy blue conversion van in front of the venue in Bowling Green, a small town 2 hrs. south of Louisville.

The DELOREANS

The Deloreans, a Louisville, Ky based popRock band, performs "Girl From the Country" on SquatBox.net. They transform their doo wop song with a twelve string, mandolin, dulcimer, and brushes. The doo wop is still very prevalent, but this alternate version gives a slight folk ambiance.
The Full Episode will be up on SquatBox.net Soon.
